March Membership Meeting: OSHA Update & Best Practices for Roofing Contractors
Tuesday March 17, 2020
Camelot Golf Course
W192 WI-67
Lomira, WI 53048
Agenda:
Registration/Networking - 11:30 am
Lunch - 12:00 pm
Presentation - 12:30 pm
In November, we heard from the NRCA about the value of creating a "safety culture" for your business. The goal of safety programs isn't to avoid OSHA fines, it's to avoid a workplace accident - something that can significantly affect every aspect of your business. This meeting will dig deeper, with OSHA walking us through the most significant risks for roofing contractors, including:
-
Fall Hazards
-
Electricity
-
Power Tools
-
Extreme Temperatures & Other Weather Risks
In addition, you'll be asked to consider best practices that you use at your company and share your ideas with others. Contributing to the discussion, OSHA will review the highly successful Hazard Assessment Process and talk about ways to incorporate that practice into a daily tailgate meeting before starting work.
Our speaker will be Kelly Bubolz, Compliance Assistance Specialist for the Appleton Area OSHA Office. |
